Abuja High Court postpones Odumodublvck assault trial to mid‑October

The Abuja High Court has delayed the assault case against rapper Odumodublvck until 13‑14 October after the defendant and his lawyer failed to appear. The plaintiff, Levi Ogbogiri, seeks compensation, a public apology and damages of N2 billion.

On Tuesday, the [Abuja High Court](https://judiciary.gov.ng) ordered the assault and battery case involving Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as [Odumodublvck](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odumodublvck), to be adjourned until 14 October after both parties missed the scheduled hearing.

**What triggered the lawsuit?**

Levi Ogbogiri, also called Kraziecent, filed the suit in November 2025 alleging that the rapper assaulted him without provocation at a public event on 16 December 2024.

**Why was the trial adjourned?**

During the resumed hearing, Ogbogiri’s counsel, Uchenna Ojembe, appeared in court and reported that the defendant and his lawyer, Taiwo Akinsulie, were absent. He urged the bench to proceed, noting the case had already suffered numerous postponements. Justice J.O.E. Ajayi, however, ordered a stand‑down to give the defendant a chance to attend. The court later set new dates for 13‑14 October, but the defendant again failed to appear after the stand‑down.

**What evidence did the claimant present?**

The plaintiff took the stand, swore an oath, and submitted affidavits dated 25 February 2026. He relied on a range of digital and documentary exhibits, including multi‑party contracts, medical records, photographic proof, and WhatsApp communication logs. Among the documents were an unfulfilled booking contract involving Walex Biz Nigeria Ltd, Shelter Groove Ltd, Capworld Nigeria Ltd and Chinotem Nig Ltd, as well as medical reports and photos showing a wrist injury and its treatment.

**What relief is being sought?**

After hearing the claimant’s testimony, the judge adjourned the matter to allow cross‑examination by the defendant. The plaintiff is asking the court to order the rapper to pay his medical expenses, issue a public apology on his social‑media platforms and in two national newspapers, or alternatively pay N2 billion in damages.
