[Hanks Anuku](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanks_Anuku) said Nigerians need to show patience toward President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he works to resolve the nation’s problems, noting that the president did not create the difficulties he now faces.
During a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, the actor observed that many citizens are “too much in a hurry” and should give the president space to fulfil his mandate.
“It is hard for anyone in Nigeria to help you right now. Stick with [President Bola Ahmed Tinubu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bola_Ahmed_Tinubu). The country must be patient while he attempts renewal. The nation was not ruined by him; there were predecessors before his tenure. Why didn’t Nigerians challenge those earlier leaders? He now has the task of fixing the issues,” he explained.
When probed on whether he thought the president was doing enough, Anuku affirmed that Tinubu was performing well and reiterated the call for patience.
“He is doing great. Nigeria should be patient. We are too quick to judge,” he added.
Anuku also dismissed rumors that he had been paid to back the president, stating, “Paid? How many people could be better than him? Future leaders might be even worse. The devil you know is better.”
