Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Akwa Ibom State have initiated a full-scale inquiry into the tragic killing of Unwana Okon, a local trader domiciled in Ndot Village, Oruk Anam Local Government Area. The victim was allegedly targeted after receiving a mysterious phone call that lured her out of her home under the pretext of a business transaction.
According to the victim's sibling, Eno, the sequence of events began when Unwana accepted a telephone invitation directing her to Mbiaikot village to purchase African wild spinach, commonly known as afang leaves. Upon honouring the appointment, she failed to return home.
