The All Progressives Congress (APC) has made public the lists of members appointed to the screening appeals committees for Ward and Local Government Area (LGA) Congresses, in addition to the committees overseeing the Congresses themselves.

The lists were officially signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, H.E. Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.

In a statement issued by Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, the party called upon all committee members to execute their duties faithfully, with transparency, and in full compliance with the Party's Constitution and Guidelines.

The ruling APC has scheduled the Ward Congresses for Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the National Convention is set to take place on March 27 and 28, 2026.

Morka elaborated to reporters in Abuja following the 183rd National Working Committee (NWC) meeting that Osun and Ekiti States, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), will not participate in the upcoming Congresses due to impending elections. Additionally, Rivers State is exempted because the current executive committee's term has not yet ended.

Furthermore, the party appointed Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, a former Governor of Katsina State, to preside as Chairman of the APC Central Coordination Committee for the upcoming National Convention.

Masari, who was initially a member of the committee, takes over from Sen. Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and current Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF).

Uzodimma has now been designated as the Treasurer of this committee, which has seen its membership expanded from 73 to 92.

Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, formerly announced as a member, now serves as Vice Chairman 1 of the committee.

Vice Chairman II is AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara State, who also chairs the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF). Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, retains his position as Secretary of the committee.

The committee incorporates several serving and former governors, senators, national assembly members, and other key party leaders from across Nigeria.

Notable members include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and former APC national chairmen Adams Oshiomhole and Abdullahi Ganduje, the latter being a previous governor of Kano State.

Additional members include Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Dikko Radda of Katsina, Peter Mbah of Enugu, and Douye Diri of Bayelsa.

The APC has indicated that the schedule for the inauguration of the Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 national convention will be disclosed in due course.
