This initiative, located at Government Secondary School, Palladan, in the Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was carried out by Major General Abubakar Haruna, Commandant of the Nigerian Army Training Centre in Kontagora. The project was intended as a way for him to give back to his community.

“These initiatives have been thoughtfully designed and executed in direct collaboration with the benefiting communities to ensure their relevance and impact,” he stated.

He further noted, “Importantly, these endeavors support the efforts of the state government in delivering essential amenities and infrastructure to enhance the living conditions of the communities involved.

"The projects are intended to greatly improve the educational prospects of the residents, not only for the immediate community but for future generations. This is also a token of gratitude to the communities that have raised some of Nigeria's finest Army officers,” he remarked.

In earlier statements, Major General M.A. Etsu-Ndagi, the Chief of Civil- Military Affairs of the Army Headquarters, through his deputy Colonel Y. Amaka, indicated that the event reflects the Army's dedication to fostering a comprehensive societal approach to achieving national security goals.

He remarked, “The Army recognizes that public collaboration and support are vital for the success of military operations. For this reason, the Nigerian Army is actively exploring non-kinetic operations to strengthen ties and collaboration with civil society.”

Etsu-Ndagi expressed gratitude for the community's goodwill and urged them to maintain their support and partnership with the Army in jointly combating banditry and related challenges.

Major General Abubakar Haruna, the driving force behind the project, reiterated that the initiative at the school was meant to enhance effective teaching and learning, thereby contributing to a promising future for the youth.

He also acknowledged the support of President Bola Tinubu and the Chief of Army Staff, whose efforts paved the way for this project.
