Desperados has partnered with acclaimed Afrobeats producer Young Jonn to release “Let It Go”, a track that merges Latin reggaeton influences with Nigerian Afrobeats, aiming to celebrate self‑expression and spontaneous nightlife moments.

Desperados, the global tequila‑based brand, has launched a new single titled “Let It Go” in partnership with award‑winning Afrobeats producer and songwriter [Young Jonn](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Jonn), blending Latin rhythms with Nigerian [Afrobeats](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afrobeats) to promote self‑expression and spontaneous nightlife experiences.

The track, produced by Yung Willis, draws its inspiration from “Guao Guao”, a reggaeton record originally created by Desperados together with Venezuelan artist Micro TDH and Colombian producer Ovy On The Drums.

Using a sample from the original song, “Let It Go” re‑imagines the Latin‑inspired sound through Young Jonn’s signature style, delivering an Afrobeats record shaped by Nigeria’s vibrant music and club culture.

This collaboration aligns with Desperados’ strategy of leveraging music and cultural experiences to engage younger audiences, tapping into the brand’s Latin heritage while embracing the influence of Nigerian music.

According to the brand, the song captures the spirit of impromptu nights out, unexpected reunions with friends, and moments when music unites people.

“Let It Go” is intended to motivate listeners to relax, express themselves freely, and cherish experiences that forge lasting memories, while bridging two musical worlds.

Yung Willis, whose production résumé includes work with artists such as Wizkid, Davido, Kizz Daniel, Falz, Niniola, BNXN, Zlatan, Patoranking and Ice Prince, handled the production, melding global influences with contemporary Afrobeats sounds.

Rather than simply reproducing the original reggaeton track, the partnership gives it a fresh identity through the rhythms and movement of Nigerian music, with Young Jonn acting as the creative conduit between the two styles.

For Desperados, the release extends beyond a song to generate audience participation via dance challenges, lifestyle content and fans’ personal interpretations of the “Let It Go” experience.

The brand says the collaboration reinforces its link to music, culture and self‑expression, positioning the track as a meeting point for diverse influences and shared experiences.

By fusing Latin rhythms with Afrobeats, “Let It Go” seeks to embody the freedom of living in the moment and highlight music’s power to bring people together.
