Edo State APC chairman Emperor Jarret Tenebe appealed to party members during a statewide mobilisation tour to embrace a strict “one man, one vote” policy, stressing its importance for the party’s performance in the 2027 general elections.

Edo State [All Progressives Congress](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Progressives_Congress) chairman Emperor Jarret Tenebe urged party cadres, while touring Okpella, Agenebode and Fugar in Etsako East and Etsako Central LGAs, to adopt a strict “one man, one vote” strategy to secure the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.

Accompanying Governor [Monday Okpebholo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monday_Okpewho) on the tour, Tenebe highlighted the need for peaceful voter mobilisation, warning against quarrels or violence that could jeopardise the APC’s support base.

He praised the developmental work of President [Bola Tinubu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bola_Tinubu) and Governor Okpebholo, stating, “We have all seen the developmental stride of our governor, the son of President Tinubu. Governor Okpebholo is working as well as President Tinubu. We all need to support our party for continued development.”

**What principle did Tenebe stress?**

He reiterated the “one man, one vote” concept introduced by the party’s leadership, insisting that every individual ballot would be crucial to returning President Tinubu to power and sustaining Nigeria’s development trajectory.

**Why is the 2027 election pivotal, according to Tenebe?**

He argued that the APC must win voter support across all of Edo State, describing the upcoming poll as decisive for the country’s political direction.

**How does the party view the removal of fuel subsidy?**

Tenebe defended the federal decision, claiming that ending the subsidy has freed resources for state governments, thereby enhancing development projects.

During a stop in Fugar, the administrative centre of Etsako Central LGA, Tenebe paid homage to the late Chief Dan Osi Orbih, acknowledging his influence on Edo politics.

Governor Okpebholo echoed the chairman’s call, emphasizing that the electorate’s participation is essential to maintain the developmental gains achieved under the Tinubu administration. He credited the fuel‑subsidy removal with boosting resources for state development and improving national security, urging citizens to cast massive votes for the APC in the January 2027 election.
