Interim coach [Augustine Eguavoen](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustine_Eguavoen) has ruled out any negative impact from the recent withdrawal of several senior players as the [Super Falcons](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria_women%27s_national_football_team) prepare for their [2028 Olympic Games](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2028_Summer_Olympics) qualifier against [Comoros](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comoros_national_football_team) at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne.
The two‑legged tie will be staged at the Ikenne venue, with the Nigerian side set to field a revised squad after the exits of striker Asisat Oshoala, midfielder Oluwatosin Demehin, defender Flourish Sabastine and centre‑back Ashleigh Plumptre.
Eguavoen acknowledged the losses, stating, “It is true that we have a number of withdrawals, notably Asisat Oshoala, Ashley Plumptre and Oluwatosin Demehin. However, I have confidence in their replacements as these ones also have the quality and experience to contribute meaningfully to the team’s success against Comoros.”
**Will the new lineup be enough?**
The coach emphasized that the incoming players possess the requisite skill and match experience, and he believes they can navigate the hurdle and secure progression despite the absence of the regular starters.
