Rivers United’s technical adviser [Finidi George](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finidi_George) has declared that the Port Harcourt side will aim to win every home fixture in the 2026‑27 [Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria_Premier_League) campaign, hoping to avoid the point‑losses that denied them the title last season.
Finidi, who previously starred for the Nigerian national team, reminded that the club dropped crucial points at home last year, including a loss to Bayelsa United and several draws in Port Harcourt. To date, [Rivers United](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivers_United_F.C.) have secured victories in all three of their home games this season, leaving them and Kano Pillars as the only unbeaten sides on their own turf. “The focus this season is to win all our home games,” Finidi told the club’s media, adding, “We lost the NPFL title last season because we lost to Bayelsa United and a few other games we drew here in Port Harcourt.”
