Dr. Jamil Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress governorship flagbearer in Gombe State, has tasked party faithful and supporters with proving their political capacity directly at the grassroots level.
Gwamna inaugurated an initiative known as 'Operation Deliver Your Ward', urging stakeholders to guarantee electoral success starting from their individual polling booths and electoral wards. He made these remarks amidst events commemorating the 30th anniversary of the creation of Gombe State.
According to the politician, real political influence and capability are measured by concrete mobilization at the local level rather than mere political rhetoric. He noted that party associates who successfully deliver their respective wards and polling units would receive his highest regard and appreciation.
"The true test is at the polling unit," Gwamna stated. "We will hold in highest regard those who deliver their wards. We will continue to reach every nook and cranny of Gombe State to seek support and votes."
In addition to the grassroots challenge, the APC candidate appealed to all party members to set aside internal disagreements, bridge divides, and present a united front. He compared the collective strength of a united party to the tightly bound strands of a broom, which is the official symbol of the political platform.
Furthermore, Gwamna encouraged various voluntary organizations, youth groups, women's wings, and other stakeholders to intensify grassroots campaigns, fortify party foundations, and galvanize voters across all levels of the upcoming polls.
Reiterating his dedication to good governance, Gwamna promised to deliver purposeful and responsible leadership to the residents of Gombe State. He assured the electorate that an administration under his leadership would be anchored on justice, integrity, and transparency if given the mandate.
