Islamic clerics assembled at the [Lekan Salami Stadium](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lekan_Salami_Stadium) in Ibadan for a two‑day annual lecture hosted by the [Al Haqdeen International Islamic Centre](https://ahic.org.ng), praying for divine mercy, wisdom and guidance to aid Nigeria in overcoming its present difficulties.
The gathering, which drew thousands of worshippers from across and beyond [Oyo State](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oyo_State), was staged under the theme “Isokale Oro Olohun Si Orile Aye Paapa Si Orilede Nigeria” – translated as “Divine Message to Mankind: Mercy, Hope and Guidance for Nigeria”. Lectures, Qur’an recitations, Adhkar (remembrance of Allah) and spiritual intercessions formed the core programme.
The founder of AHIIC, Fhodilatu Shaykh Al Khalifah Ahmad Dhikrullah – also known as Gaozu Zaman Kubtuh Robban – explained that the event fulfills the Islamic obligation to disseminate knowledge, enjoin good and forbid evil, as prescribed in the Qur’an and Sunnah. He described the timing as crucial given the nation’s trying circumstances and urged spiritual intervention to foster peace, progress and development.
[Shaykh Dhikrullah](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_scholar) admonished Nigerians, particularly those in leadership, to align all actions with God’s path, asserting that seeking divine favour attracts blessings essential for the country’s recovery amid political, economic and security crises.
He further warned that society’s tolerance and reward of wrongdoing have allowed corruption, bribery, mistrust and fraud to permeate every level of public and private life. He called on citizens to repent, adopt honesty and cultivate a culture of goodness to improve living standards for all.
The first‑day address was delivered by Shaykh Sheriffdeen Muhally, who highlighted the virtues and rewards of travelling from one’s home to hear Allah’s word. On the second day, Shaykh Dr Saheed Yusuf urged those blessed by Allah to support the expansion of Islam and the nation’s development.
The programme also featured recitations of Surah Al‑Kahf, Yasin, Al‑Mulk, Ar‑Rahman and Surah Al‑Waqi’ah, concluding with a Khatmah of the Qur’an.
Many participants reported a profound spiritual impact, testifying to the power and mercy of Allah experienced during the event.
