The Lagos Waste Management Authority said it arrested 13 people for operating stalls in unauthorised spots across Festac, Mile 2 and Ikorodu on 12‑13 October 2026, warning traders to use only approved markets.

The [Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA)](https://lawma.lagosstate.gov.ng) disclosed on Tuesday that it had taken into custody 13 individuals for conducting street‑level trade in prohibited areas of the state, including Festac, Mile 2 and Ikorodu, during enforcement sweeps on 12 and 13 October 2026.

Lawma’s Director of Public Affairs, Mukaila Sanusi, PhD, released a statement confirming the arrests.
