A man suspected of drug use, known as Ojo Kayaman, has been given the ironic title of ‘king of thieves’ within the Karaworo community in Adavi Local Government Area, Kogi State. The individual was reportedly apprehended after an alleged theft of a gas cylinder.

Sources indicate that the suspect resorts to stealing as a means to finance his drug addiction. A resident, Gadafi Idreez, shared details of the incident, stating that upon being caught, the suspect was presented with the iron grill of the stolen gas cylinder as a makeshift crown.

Man identified as Ojo Kayaman, suspected of drug use, in a community setting.

"Kuroko again! He is the king of thieves captured at Karaworo. His name is Ojo, popularly known as Ojo Kayaman, the son of the renowned Kaya-Man Kuroko,” Idreez stated.

He further described the individual as an "apprentice of Risky school of Igbo (Marijūana) and hard drugs." Idreez lamented that such youths are prevalent in the community, but the leadership often fails to act because of their connections, which he believes hinders the community's progress.

"Seriously, this type of youth is roaming around Kuroko but the leaders of the community will do nothing about it because he is their own. One of the issues that is retrogressing Kuroko for now," he added.

Idreez concluded by drawing a moral lesson, stating: “Moral lesson: when dey say drug and stealing na step brother una no dey believe. Lesson wey like drugs and no get money, stealing no far from him.”
