The flight left Abuja at 16:12 UTC, climbed to 3,500 ft and, three nautical miles from the airport, the crew issued a mayday when the door came off. The jet turned back and touched down on Runway 22 at 16:34 UTC. Nine occupants – three crew and six passengers – were on board and all disembarked unharmed.
