The Presidency has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is in good health and actively involved in his official responsibilities during his state visit to Türkiye.
Addressing concerns that arose from an incident in Ankara where the President briefly stumbled during a welcome event on Tuesday, the Presidency clarified that the situation was caused by a poorly laid blue carpet, not a health- related issue.
According to the statement from the Presidency, President Tinubu quickly regained his footing after the minor stumble and continued with his planned schedule without any delays.
He has since resumed his official engagements and is currently engaged in bilateral discussions with Turkish officials as part of the itinerary for the state visit. Furthermore, he is anticipated to co-host a press conference with his Turkish counterparts following their meetings.
The Presidency emphasized that President Tinubu remains in excellent health and good spirits, advising the public to disregard any unfounded rumors concerning his wellbeing.
