[Sean “Diddy” Combs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Combs), the 56‑year‑old former music mogul sentenced for transporting men across state lines for prostitution, was relocated on Friday from the Fort Dix lockup in New Jersey to the Allenwood Low Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania, a move confirmed by a [Bureau of Prisons](https://www.bop.gov/) spokesperson.
Both facilities are low‑security federal prisons for male inmates. [Fort Dix](https://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/ftdx/) houses roughly 4,000 prisoners, while [Allenwood Low](https://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/alwf/) accommodates about 1,000, making it a considerably smaller population centre. U.S. media reported that Combs received hospital treatment for a head injury after an alleged fight with another inmate last weekend. Earlier in September, NBC News described a relatively lavish lifestyle for him at Fort Dix, citing access to contraband cell phones, alcohol, personal cooks, cleaners, and even a provider of Chinese‑style massages.
"For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer," the Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman said.
Combs was sentenced in 2025 following a high‑profile trial that revealed he had organised sexual encounters, dubbed “freak‑offs,” involving hired male escorts, his ex‑girlfriend Casandra Ventura and another unidentified woman. While a jury acquitted him of the most serious charges—sex trafficking and racketeering—he was convicted on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. He is scheduled for release in March 2028.
