The PBAT Door‑to‑Door Movement, fronted by former militia leader Tompolo, launched a grassroots campaign in Taraba State to back President Bola Tinubu’s re‑election, donating 25 campaign vehicles and urging supporters to canvass every community.

As campaigns for the January 2027 presidential election intensify, the PBAT Door‑to‑Door Movement has begun a grassroots mobilisation in [Taraba State](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taraba_State), urging locals to back the re‑election of [President Bola Tinubu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bola_Tinubu).

The initiative is headed by its Grand Patron, former militia leader Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who argued that the president’s reform agenda still needs time to take root and bring wider benefits to Nigerians.

Represented at the launch in Jalingo by Kestin Pondi, Tompolo asserted that Taraba is already reaping the rewards of the Tinubu administration’s policies and that continuity is essential to preserve the progress made.

He said, “Taraba is thriving because President Tinubu has good reformation policies that are moving the state forward. If we want those policies to continue and be more solid, to consolidate on them, we need to give the dent another four years.”

According to him, a second term would guarantee that civil servants continue to receive their salaries on time and give Governor [Agbu Kefas](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agbu_Kefas) more time to implement development projects.

Tompolo noted that earlier challenges such as fuel queues and disruptions in university education have lessened, crediting these improvements to the Tinubu government’s actions.

He acknowledged that reforms bring challenges but emphasized that patience is required for full benefits to materialise.

He urged supporters to take the campaign into every layer of society – homes, churches, wards, local government areas and polling units.

Governor Agbu Kefas, speaking at the event, said residents of Taraba are already witnessing the impact of the Tinubu administration through ongoing projects.

“Taraba is ready. You don’t need to tell the people of Taraba State what the President is doing; they are seeing what the President is doing through me,” Kefas declared, adding that his administration remains committed to the president’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and will continue collaborating with the federal government on development initiatives.

He pledged massive support for Tinubu in the 2027 election, stating, “We are going out en masse to give the President 100 percent votes. We are ready for Mr. President.”

The national coordinator of the PBAT Door‑to‑Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, said the group’s presence in Taraba is to spread the message of support for the president and the state governor, arguing that abandoning Tinubu’s reforms would be counter‑productive.

“The surest way for us today is the [All Progressives Congress](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Progressives_Congress). We are on the right trajectory and that is why we should remain where we are,” Asuku said, commending Governor Kefas for achievements recorded over the past three years.

The highlight of the gathering was the donation of 25 campaign vehicles, generators and electronic loudspeakers intended for grassroots mobilisation.
