A drone strike launched by Ukrainian forces in Russia’s Yaroslavl region resulted in the tragic death of a child and left several others injured.
Governor Mikhail Evraev confirmed that the attack struck homes situated in residential areas located northeast of Moscow.
Evraev reported that the child was present in a private residence at the time of the drone strike. The child’s parents were critically injured and have since been hospitalized, alongside a woman from a nearby house who also sustained injuries.
He indicated that all affected individuals are currently receiving appropriate medical care as local authorities manage the aftermath of the incident.
During the confrontation, Evraev noted that Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted over 30 Ukrainian drones aimed at the region.
In a broader statement, the Russian Defence Ministry disclosed that a total of 155 Ukrainian drones were thwarted and destroyed overnight across various regions, including those adjacent to Moscow.
Authorities are conducting assessments following the attack, which inflicted damage on several residential buildings and a retail establishment.
