The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a woman accused of stabbing a 16-year-old boy several times in Amosu Street, Ijegun, within the Alimosho Local Government Area.

This violent incident took place on the evening of Thursday, February 26, 2026.

The boy’s cousin, identified as Febechi, brought attention to the situation through a series of posts on her X account.

Accompanying images displayed multiple cuts on the right side of the boy's face, one of which was perilously close to his eye, deep lacerations on the right side of his chest near the shoulder, as well as another wound on his forearm, showing blood across his body.

Febechi asserted that the suspect attacked her cousin and his mother following a disagreement that arose when the boy attempted to correct the suspect's child.

In her post, she expressed her outrage: "I am heateddd!!! A grown woman stabbed my 16 y/o brother in multiple places because he tried to correct her child, then stabbed his mum when she tried to confront her. Please, I need help getting justice for him. Who do I tag aside from @PoliceNG and @Lagosdsva?"

She further remarked, "Apparently, the police unit in their area said they can’t make arrests this evening, until tomorrow morning. Why would someone stab you when confronting a child? What happened to a cane or koboko?"

Febechi indicated that the boy’s parents and relatives were determined to seek justice through legal means.

"Who knows if she’ll run away tonight?! I am so pissed that I can’t do anything, omg. If you can help, please reach out to me. Sorry for the confusion—I should have been more concise with the language. He’s my younger cousin, a child of one of my older cousins. It’s more complex explaining this way, so ‘brother’ is simpler. He’s a quiet, gentle boy. He doesn’t know his way around the streets at all."

She added, "Viewers’ discretion advised!! See what she did to this boy!! All he did was tell her child to go inside because the child played outside for too long. Next thing, she starts attacking him, asking why he was talking to her child."

Febechi continued, "They’re neighbors, and he’s basically a child too. He was just looking out for the smaller kids like an older sibling would. I wish he had left her child alone and focused on his own siblings. My older family members and the boy’s parents want to handle this legally."

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed on Sunday that the woman had been arrested and that the boy was receiving medical care.

The police stated, "The post was engaged, and they were advised to report at the nearest police station, which they did. The boy is receiving treatment at the hospital, and the suspect is currently in police custody."
