A group of women in the Bojongo area of Bonaberi, Douala, Cameroon took matters into their own hands by berating and punishing a man notorious for his abusive behavior towards his wife.
This individual, referred to as "Father Lion" by locals due to his abusive tendencies, was confronted after his wife's cries for help once again reverberated through the neighborhood. Hearing her pleas for help, the women in the surrounding community decided they could no longer remain passive.
Footage shared online captures the moment as the women brandish sticks and encircle the abuser. Despite wielding a machete in a vain attempt to defend himself and warning the approaching women to keep their distance, he could not escape their fury, as they descended upon him with blows.
The situation escalated when another man intervened, disarming the abuser by successfully taking the machete away from him and subsequently using it against him as a form of retribution.
Faced with the loss of his weapon and the mounting aggression from the women, the man retreated towards a nearby hut in a bid to evade their anger, enduring insults along the way.
A voice can be heard in the video declaring, "The man na craze man," suggesting a community consensus about his actions and mental state.
