Minister of Works Senator David Umahi says the diversion of the Lagos‑Calabar Coastal Highway onto the East‑West Road corridor is driven by technical challenges and cost‑saving considerations, not politics. The change affects 67 km of the project, which has already seen over 40 km completed.
