Philip Tunde, a 38‑year‑old businessman, was taken into custody by the NDLEA at Murtala Muhammed International Airport after officials say roughly 4.8 kg of cocaine was discovered in his luggage. He reportedly paid N16 million for the drugs and claimed the funds came from compensation for a workplace injury in Italy. The agency also announced other sizable drug busts at ports in Lagos and Rivers State.
