The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has informed candidates registered for the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that they can begin printing their notification slips from March 23, 2026.

This mock exam is primarily designed to assess the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system and effectively prepare candidates for the UTME, set to occur on Saturday, March 28.

In its latest bulletin released on Monday, JAMB instructed candidates to print their slips directly from their official website.

The bulletin suggests, "Candidates should visit the JAMB website, click on ‘2-Session 2026 MOCK SLIP PRINTING,’ and input their registration numbers to access their slips."

“Everyone who has registered is encouraged to print their slips and familiarize themselves with their designated examination centers prior to the test date.”

Additionally, JAMB disclosed that the mock UTME will extend for four hours, a deviation from the traditional two-hour format.

The board stated that this modification is intended to provide candidates with ample opportunity to acclimatize to the CBT environment.

Two consecutive sessions are set to occur on the same day: the first will run from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and the second from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“This is to ensure that candidates receive adequate exposure in advance of the primary examination. Candidates will need to participate in both sessions on the same day, hence the need to be aware of the extended time frame,” the statement added.

Furthermore, JAMB’s Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede, emphasized the mandatory nature of participation in the Mock UTME for candidates who registered.

He clarified that due to limited slots available for the mock examination, any candidate who signs up but fails to attend has effectively wasted a valuable space that another interested participant could have occupied.

“Candidates are strongly urged to organize themselves to partake in the Mock UTME,” he urged.
