Access Holdings Plc has named Emeka Ogbechie as the new Chief Financial Officer, effective February 26, 2026.
The announcement was made public through a statement on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), which was signed by the company’s secretary, Sunday Ekwochi, on Thursday.
“The Board of Directors (the Board) of Access Holdings Plc (the Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
Emeka Anthony Ogbechie as the Chief Financial Officer effective February 26, 2026,” the Company noted.
Access Holdings Plc indicated that Mr. Ogbechie’s appointment is aimed at strengthening the organization’s financial management and enhancing the capital discipline of Access Holdings Plc.
The company is confident that Mr. Ogbechie, with his vast experience in financial strategy and capital allocation, will play a crucial role in executing the company’s strategic goals.
“His appointment reflects the Company’s dedication to reinforcing its financial governance, enhancing capital discipline, and pursuing sustainable growth across the Group,” they emphasized.
“Mr. Ogbechie possesses extensive expertise in financial strategy, capital allocation, treasury management, and overseeing portfolio performance across diverse portfolios, which will facilitate the implementation of the Company’s strategic objectives.
“The Board extends a warm welcome to Mr. Ogbechie and looks forward to his significant contributions toward achieving the Company’s value creation objectives,” the company added.
Profile
Mr. Ogbechie holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Science in Management from the London School of Economics. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
Mr. Ogbechie is an established leader in the financial services sector with over 20 years of experience across the UK, West Africa, and East Africa, covering banking, private equity, and investment management.
He has held various senior leadership and financial roles, including Group Chief Financial Officer at African Capital Alliance and United Capital Plc. Additionally, he has served as a Non-Executive Director at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc and Cornerstone Insurance Plc, and as Group Finance Director at Equity Bank Kenya Limited.
