The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has established April 30 as the definitive deadline for all membership revalidation and registration activities, in anticipation of the upcoming 2027 general elections.
This directive was communicated via a notice issued by APGA's National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, on Thursday from Awka.
Mr. Opara clarified that this deadline is applicable to both new and existing members across the nation.
He further stated that this membership drive is in accordance with Section 77(5) of the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates political parties to furnish the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with a comprehensive digital register of their members.
Only individuals whose information is successfully recorded in the party's digital register, which will be submitted to INEC, will be considered eligible to participate in APGA's primary election processes for the 2027 polls. This eligibility extends to those intending to be aspirants, voters, or delegates.
"Any person who fails to revalidate or register before the stipulated deadline will be disqualified from participating in any APGA primary election processes," the statement added.
The party's spokesperson urged all prospective members and aspirants to complete their registration via the party's official website within the remaining timeframe.
He stressed that no extensions would be granted beyond the April 30 deadline.
Mr. Opara emphasized the importance of strict adherence to this directive by all relevant party members and stakeholders.
