Father Arrested for Streaming Abuse of His Daughter for Cryptocurrency

A man in Madrid has been arrested for allegedly livestreaming the sexual assault of his seven-year-old daughter in exchange for cryptocurrency payments.

According to authorities, the accused father purposely attracted a sick audience who paid to view the abuse after enticing them with images of himself lying on a bed with his daughter.

Security footage captured the moment the 46-year-old Spaniard was escorted from his apartment building in handcuffs and placed into a police vehicle, dressed in jeans and a black shirt.

His arrest followed a nearly four-month investigation by police.

A spokesperson for the National Police summarized the nature of the alleged crimes, stating: "Our officers in Madrid have detained a man accused of broadcasting the sexual maltreatment he inflicted on his own daughter through a live streaming application."

The suspect reportedly received payments in cryptocurrency through the same app, which he later converted to enhance his online visibility and to receive gifts. The probe commenced after law enforcement received an anonymous tip via email, designed specifically to gather information about child pornography offenses.

The investigation, which started last November, revealed that the suspect used private livestreaming rooms to lure individuals interested in such content by using provocative photos of himself with his daughter.

He communicated with paying clients through an external messaging platform and allegedly broadcasted the abuse in exchange for digital currency, which could be traded for gifts or to improve his internet ranking.

The suspect was tracked down and arrested by the police in Madrid.

During a search of his residence, authorities confiscated two mobile devices containing a significant amount of pornographic content.

Following his judicial appearance, he has been remanded in custody, facing charges including corruption of minors, and the production, possession, and distribution of child pornography, alongside sexual assault.

Local media indicated that he was apprehended in the Tetuan neighborhood of Madrid, noting that authorities had not encountered the application purportedly used for these heinous acts until they initiated the investigation.
