On Wednesday, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, attended the "Fostering the Future Together Summit" organized by Melania Trump at the White House in Washington, D.C.
At the summit, she was among 45 first ladies, such as Brigitte Macron, gathered to address the enhancement of educational accessibility and the protection of children in digital spaces.
During the event, Melania Trump unveiled a new American-made humanoid robot, known as Figure 3, marking its first introduction to global leaders in an official diplomatic context at the White House.
She stated, "The future of AI is personified – it will take on human-like forms. Soon, artificial intelligence will evolve from our mobile devices to humanoids that can provide services."
Melania further articulated, "This technology could alter the global order and redistribute power. It is crucial that our children are prepared to thrive within this new framework."
She emphasized collaboration among nations to realize this vision through robust initiatives designed to equip youth with the necessary skills, calling for investments, wider accessibility, and the cultivation of new opportunities.
Representatives from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, also shared their national initiatives aimed at integrating technology into educational systems.
Melania Trump urged all participating nations to work together to transform the ambitions of the summit into tangible outcomes.
