InDrive, a prominent global ride-hailing service operating in nine African nations, is recognizing the Ramadan season by launching a dedicated appreciation program for its drivers in Abuja, named the ‘Ramadan Shukran campaign.’ This initiative extends curated food hampers and personalized thank-you messages to active Muslim drivers on their platform.

Designed to enhance the connection between the company and its drivers, the campaign coincides with a period when many drivers are engaged in extended working hours while observing the Ramadan fast. Unlike typical promotions that may offer financial incentives or performance rewards, this initiative focuses on providing essential support during the holy month and expressing gratitude for the vital role that drivers play in the operational success of the platform.

The delivery of 200 food hampers is being executed by four Muslim content creators based in Abuja, who are sensitive to the social and religious aspects of the fasting period. These hampers are filled with Ramadan essentials tailored for suhoor and iftar, including staple foods and beverages commonly enjoyed during this time. They feature warm-toned packaging reflective of the season and include a handwritten-style card from inDrive inscribed with the word “Shukran,” meaning thank you.

Each content creator is responsible for a designated area to ensure substantial local engagement, with deliveries strategically timed around prayer and fasting schedules, all conducted with the enthusiastic participation of the drivers involved.

The campaign aims to publicly honor drivers through creator-led storytelling, reinforcing inDrive’s commitment to a people-first approach and raising awareness among potential drivers who have not yet joined the platform.
