Osarobo Osarenoma Odigie is pursuing ₦395 million in damages from the well- known TikTok personality Peller, claiming he has committed defamation, cyber harassment, and an invasion of her privacy following an event that transpired at a lounge in Lagos.
The incident reportedly took place on January 6, 2026, at Folixxx Lounge situated along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos. Her legal counsel stated that the conflict arose after the TikToker allegedly shared a video showing Odigie at the lounge counter as she attempted to order food.
In the viral video, Peller reportedly referred to her as a 'hater' after she allegedly suggested that he was being excessively loud at the establishment.
In a correspondence dated March 10, issued by her legal team, Odigie contended that the video and the remarks made were defamatory and had subjected her to widespread mockery online.
"The consequences of your actions, particularly the false and defamatory statements along with the infringement of her privacy and her right to be forgotten, have forced our client into public ridicule both online and offline," the letter states in part.
Furthermore, her legal representatives argued that the dissemination of the video across various social media networks had incited harassment and threats from the public.
"She has also faced unwarranted harassment, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking due to the disparaging statements made against her.
The letter cites that Odigie has endured significant emotional distress and developed real concerns for her safety. Without prejudice to her right to pursue legal action and seek all remedies provided by law, her legal team emphasized that all statements regarding her character (whether spoken, written, or otherwise published) are false, malicious, and highly defamatory.
Odigie is urging the TikTok creator to cease any further commentary about her and to promptly remove the video from all social media platforms.
Her lawyers additionally requested that Peller ensure that any blogs and websites that reposted the video take it down as well.
Moreover, the communication demands a public apology from him across all his social media channels, along with a retraction published in two leading newspapers, The Punch and The Guardian, while encouraging his followers to stop any harassment or threats aimed at her.
Specifically, the letter itemized financial claims totaling ₦395 million, which includes ₦200 million for claimed defamatory statements, ₦100 million for emotional distress and reputational harm, ₦75 million for harassment allegedly incited by the viral video, and ₦20 million as legal fees owed to FA Garrick & Co.
The lawyers cautioned that failure to meet these demands within a week would lead to immediate legal proceedings.
"PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that should you fail, refuse, or neglect to comply with the aforementioned demands within seven (7) days of receipt of this letter, our client shall, without further recourse to you, commence appropriate legal actions against you.
