The concert featuring Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, which was scheduled for June 19, 2026, at the Slaski stadium in Poland will no longer proceed. Stadium director Adam Strzyzewski announced the cancellation, citing "formal and legal reasons" in a statement shared on Facebook.
This development follows earlier indications from Polish authorities that they intended to block the concert. The decision by the Slaski stadium in Chorzow, a city in western Poland, emerges after similar setbacks for the artist internationally. The United Kingdom had previously banned West from entering the country, leading to the cancellation of planned appearances there.
Furthermore, a concert in Marseille, France, was also postponed due to increasing opposition from local officials. The artist's recent controversies have led to calls for the cancellation of major events. For instance, the Wireless festival was reportedly cancelled amid demands to address West's history of anti-Semitic statements.
Survivors of the Holocaust have urged other European nations to adopt similar measures against the Grammy-winning artist. Despite these international restrictions, which also include a ban from Australia, West has performed in the United States and Mexico City earlier this year.
