These outages are expected to occur on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

KEDCO clarified that the outages are essential to allow the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to begin the installation of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) as part of the Nigeria Electricity Transmission Project.

The company reassured its customers that some locations might remain unaffected as electricity will be supplied from alternate sources during this time.

In their public notice, they expressed, “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure a more reliable electricity supply across our franchise area.”
