The state leader was styled by renowned Nigerian designer Ugo Monye in a regal off-white outfit that combined elements of a classic caftan with a kimono-inspired silhouette, finished with a stylish beige fedora.

Explaining his motivation for participating in the showcase, the governor noted that he temporarily set aside his administrative duties to champion indigenous creativity. "I stepped away from the usual business of governance to walk the runway for the incredibly talented Ugo Monye at Lagos Fashion Week," Sanwo-Olu shared. "Lagos continues to grow as a home for fashion, creativity and culture and I am always happy to support the people driving this growth."
