Mai Rago Denies Aspirations for Senate Seat

A former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Yusuf Hamisu, commonly known as Mai Rago, has clarified that he is not pursuing a senatorial position in Kaduna State.

Hamisu, a close supporter of Governor Uba Sani, stated that he currently has no intention of contesting for any political role, including the senate seat for Kaduna Central.

In an interview, he expressed his commitment to focusing on the re-election efforts for both Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

"I wish to clearly state that I have no intention of contesting for any position at this time, including the senatorial seat for Zone 2," he affirmed.

Hamisu urged the public to disregard circulating rumors concerning his supposed political ambitions, labeling them as unfounded and misleading. His stance is firmly rooted in his support for the successful re-election of Uba Sani as governor and Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president.
