Engr. Bola Mudasiru, who serves as the Deputy National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Highway and Transportation Engineers (NIHTE), has committed to promoting the objectives of the Federation of African Engineering Organisations (FAEO) after being appointed to its Executive Board External Relations Committee.
Mudasiru’s selection is viewed as a significant advancement for Nigeria’s representation and influence in this continental engineering organization.
In his acceptance letter directed to FAEO President Engr. Refilwe Buthelezi, he recognized the appointment and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the organization for their trust in him.
He characterized the appointment as an honor and reassured the FAEO Governing Board of his willingness to make meaningful contributions towards fulfilling the federation's mission and strategic aims.
He stated: “I formally acknowledge receipt of your communication informing me of my appointment as a member of the Executive Board–External Relations Committee of the Federation of African Engineering Organisations.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the confidence you and the FAEO Governing Board have placed in me.
“I am truly honored to accept this position and am fully committed to leveraging my professional knowledge and skills to assist in achieving FAEO’s strategic objectives.”
Mudasiru also promised to maintain the highest standards of professionalism throughout his term.
“I will carry out my responsibilities with utmost dedication, professionalism, and integrity during this four-year term,” he affirmed.
He expressed his appreciation for what he termed “a remarkable opportunity to serve the African engineering community through the Executive Board External Relations Committee.”
Recognized as a multifaceted engineer, Mudasiru has extensive expertise across various engineering fields and is known for his flexibility, innovative problem-solving approach, and strong leadership capabilities.
Additionally, he is acknowledged for his leadership and mentoring efforts, having managed and contributed to numerous projects while guiding fellow professionals and emerging engineers both in Nigeria and internationally.
