Babatunde, a Nigerian medical professional, has posted an image of the car he was finally able to afford following a decade of practice alongside a side business in Nigeria.
The physician, who appears to have moved to the UK, remembered an incident where some young men in a Lexus mocked him when his vehicle broke down in Abeokuta.
"After ten years as a medical doctor in Nigeria, this is what I could manage. On that day, some young boys in a Lexus were laughing at me with my tie under the scorching Abeokuta sun," he shared on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
He expressed his frustration about the financial limitations faced by many, stating, "There was no scenario in which my salary and side hustle could enable me to purchase another car. We truly need to improve Nigeria for the average Nigerian, not just for a select few."
Additionally, he shared several images related to his experience, highlighting the challenges many professionals encounter in the country.
