Controversial relationship advisor Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has released documents she identifies as her cancer and scan test results just a day after her return to the Instagram platform. In a post shared on Thursday, where she invited medical professionals to interpret the findings, she stated, "Scan results; doctors in the house please help interpret them." This has drawn significant attention and reactions from the public, who had been anticipating these results following her temporary absence from social media.

In response to the online discourse surrounding the shared reports, PREMIUM TIMES consulted with Dr. Chibuki Aigbe for clarification. Dr. Aigbe explained that the documents presented by Blessing CEO represent a radiology report, not a conclusive cancer diagnosis.

"Terms like ‘fat stranding’ mean the images are unclear and require further investigation; they do not confirm a diagnosis like ‘Stage 4 cancer.’ This ‘fat stranding’ can often be caused by non-cancerous factors, such as a benign fatty mass, local inflammation, or trauma to the area," Dr. Aigbe elaborated. She further clarified that "subcutaneous emphysema refers to pockets of air in the soft tissues, which may be seen post-operatively following procedures like BBL or fat transfers as the air introduced during surgery is absorbed."

Additionally, Ms. Aigbe pointed out that a CT scan is not primarily designed as a diagnostic tool for cancer. Radiologists, she stated, typically recommend "clinical correlation" and often suggest further tests, such as ultrasounds or biopsies, to establish a definitive diagnosis.

"A CT scan is not a specialised test for cancer; radiologists always call for ‘clinical correlation’ and follow-up tests like ultrasounds or biopsies to get a definitive answer," she explained. "‘Stage 4′ is a serious, confirmed diagnosis that requires conclusive evidence, not just an inconclusive imaging report. Any patient’s true health status must be determined by their own medical team through a full clinical evaluation,"

The publication of Blessing CEO's results has triggered a flurry of comments from internet users, many of whom have expressed skepticism regarding the validity and credibility of the shared information. The reactions range from questioning the timeline of the update and the source of the reports to accusing her of falsehoods and seeking public sympathy.

This situation follows a previous report in March by this newspaper, detailing Blessing CEO's claim of being diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. At that time, her announcement was met with doubt by some Nigerians, given her history of controversies. She had then stated her intention to release medical test results to support her claim.

The controversy deepened when a makeup artist from Delta State accused Blessing CEO of fabricating her cancer medical report. Concurrently, an activist, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), filed a petition alleging that she had solicited funds under false pretences after he made a donation towards her supposed treatment.

Upon her reappearance on social media, Blessing CEO issued an apology for what she termed "unnecessary drama" and the controversy surrounding her health declarations. She pledged future transparency, promising to disclose all pertinent medical documents, including scans and biopsy results, and to refund any donations received.
