Nigerian actress Nkechi Blessing has ended her four-year feud with her former husband, Opeyemi Falegan, during a live social media broadcast. The pair, who parted ways in a publicised dispute in April 2022, addressed their past differences after months of private communication.

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has formally settled her long-standing differences with her former partner, Opeyemi Falegan, four years after their highly publicized separation. The reconciliation occurred during an interactive TikTok live session on a Saturday night, where the two public figures reviewed the events leading up to their dramatic fallout in April 2022.

During the broadcast, the film star requested a formal retraction from Falegan, noting that she had been in communication with him since February 2026. She pointed out that disparaging remarks he made during their initial breakup continued to serve as ammunition for social media trolls.

“I told you in February that if we must do this, you have to apologise to me because what you said years ago, some irrelevant nitwits still used it to insult me yesterday. That is to tell you that the internet never forgets,” she stated.

In response, Falegan, a United States-based military personnel, acknowledged mutual shortcomings and offered an unreserved apology for his previous remarks about her.

“From the bottom of my heart to the depth of my soul, I'm sorry, Nkechi. That's in the past,” he said.

What led to their initial breakup?

The reconciliation brings closure to a turbulent history that began in April 2022, when the former couple parted ways amid a series of accusations exchanged across digital platforms. Months later, in September 2022, the actress appeared as a guest on Television Continental's talk program, “Your View,” where she disclosed that her involvement with Falegan was initially intended to spite a previous romantic partner.

Falegan subsequently retorted by claiming the relationship was driven by financial and material motives, vowing at the time that reconciliation was entirely off the table.

“Once I have a reason to go, I will never find an excuse to come back,” he had declared during their fallout.

The recent TikTok session, however, marks a definitive shift in their relationship status, turning the page on one of the most talked-about celebrity splits in the Nigerian entertainment space.
