Following their 2-2 home draw against Ikorodu City at the Pantami Stadium on Saturday, Doma United technical adviser Ayodeji Ayeni expressed disappointment, maintaining that his squad deserved all three points from the encounter.
Bitrus Philemon spearheaded the attack for the Savannah Tigers by netting a brace during the fixture, while Tomiwa Awojobi and Ujunwa Elijah responded for the visitors to share the spoils.
How did Ayeni assess the team's performance?
Reflecting on the outcome after the final whistle, Ayeni accepted the result sportingly while voicing his dissatisfaction with their current home form.
"My reaction is negative for a team that played three home games, drew two and won one," Ayeni stated. "The team started the season on a bright note but skipped along the line. Be that as it may, that's football, as the chemistry with us isn't just there."
What is Doma United's current standing in the league?
With this latest result, Doma United currently sits in the 10th position on the Nigeria Professional Football League table, having garnered 15 points from their opening 11 matches of the campaign.
