A group of suspected kidnappers has abducted at least six health workers during an overnight raid at a health center located in the Oke Ijebu area of Akure, the capital city of Ondo State.

As reported by Tribune, the attackers reached the health facility at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, arriving in a bus. They stormed the premises, situated opposite Mega School, and gathered all personnel present on duty at that time. The gunmen forcefully took the victims, including interns, and fled the scene in their vehicle, heading to an undisclosed location.

Fortunately, the patients receiving care during the incident were left unharmed, though they were visibly shaken by the events.

The police have not yet released any statements regarding this latest kidnapping case.
