A Nigerian woman named Nihinlolawa Agoro, along with her two children, Temiloluwa and Isaac, tragically died in a car crash in Texas, USA. The accident involved multiple other individuals who were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on US-90A, located between Harlem Road and Pitts Road, around 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
Officials stated that an SUV was traveling eastward with five passengers when a westbound truck crossed the median, veered out of control, and struck the SUV head-on.
According to authorities, the truck overturned and subsequently caught fire.
Initial reports indicated that three occupants of the SUV—the 18-year-old daughter, 22-year-old woman, and 44-year-old mother—were pronounced dead on- site.
The 20-year-old driver of the truck, along with two children from the SUV, were transported to a medical facility with serious injuries.
The hospitalized children comprise a 4-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, as confirmed by a police officer.
Investigators further noted that they are examining whether alcohol may have played a role in the truck driver's actions.
The sheriff's office suggested that the family was likely en route to church when the collision took place, inferred from their attire at the time of the accident.
The investigation is still in progress, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.
A family member, Lola Oni, publicly acknowledged the heartbreaking situation through a post on Facebook.
