Tumi, the estranged partner of Big Brother Naija personality Angel Smith, has revealed significant issues that plagued their marriage. She disclosed that marital preparations were largely a solo effort, communication was minimal even on their wedding day, and the relationship deteriorated significantly post-ceremony, leading to separation within the same home.

Tumi, who was previously involved with Big Brother Naija housemate Angel Smith, has spoken out about the difficulties that led to the end of their union. During a recent online broadcast, she detailed her experiences, stating that she bore the brunt of the wedding preparations, with her partner contributing little to the large-scale event.

Tumi recounted that tensions were high even before the wedding. She described an instance where Angel allegedly prioritised assisting a friend with errands over their pre-wedding activities. The strain was so considerable that the couple barely spoke on their wedding day, only interacting publicly during the reception to maintain appearances for their guests.

The issues, according to Tumi, began several months prior. She alleged that the relationship became unstable after Angel joined a dating platform, although they continued to project an image of normalcy to the public.

Following the wedding, Tumi stated that the situation did not improve. She described living separately within the same house, experiencing a lack of communication, and periods where Angel was absent from their home.

She further disclosed that attempts to salvage the relationship, including therapy sessions, proved unsuccessful. Tumi indicated that she had initiated divorce proceedings, but her mother-in-law intervened at that stage.

According to Tumi, "her mum begged me to give it one last chance," even after divorce papers had been drawn up.
