A woman has recently taken to social media to express her frustrations regarding her husband and his alleged romantic interest, claiming that she invested significant funds into their relationship following their marriage in November 2024.
She alleged that she spent ₦3.5 million on their housing, forwarded ₦5 million for his trip to Kuwait, and transferred ₦2.5 million at another time. Additionally, she mentioned that she moved ₦24.5 million from a job she obtained, asserting her pivotal role in his relocation and overall stability.
In a subsequent response, the husband addressed her accusations, challenging several aspects of her narrative. He acknowledged that she provided him with financial assistance but clarified that the amount was around ₦8 million, contrary to the larger sums she reported, and confirmed that he had repaid her. He stated that he had been working multiple jobs in Kuwait, including manual labor, to repay the debts and mentioned that he purchased an ₦8 million vehicle for her through a hire purchase agreement, in addition to providing her with ongoing financial support.
The husband further claimed that their marital issues escalated after he allotted resources towards finishing his father’s house and contributing to his sister’s wedding. He asserted that his wife and her mother consistently sought financial help from him. According to him, he was cut off from all communication channels for several months, leading him to believe the marriage was over, prompting him to move on with his life.
