Applications are open for the TechSocietal Data Protection Leadership Fellowship 2026, a three-month virtual professional development programme for Nigerian professionals and emerging practitioners interested in data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and responsible technology governance.
The fellowship aims to equip participants with practical skills, professional mentorship and industry-recognised training to help organisations protect personal information and manage digital privacy risks.
**About the Fellowship**
As more businesses adopt digital technologies, protecting personal information has become increasingly important. However, many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) lack access to affordable data protection expertise.
The TechSocietal Data Protection Leadership Fellowship seeks to address this gap by training professionals who can help organisations strengthen their privacy practices and comply with relevant data protection requirements.
Through practical learning, mentorship and professional networking, participants will develop the knowledge needed to contribute to Nigeria’s growing data protection ecosystem.

**Fellowship Expectations**

Fellows must also maintain professional and ethical standards throughout the programme. Repeated non-participation may result in the withdrawal of fellowship benefits.
Successful participants are expected to contribute to TechSocietal’s Data Protection Support Hub, helping expand access to affordable data protection services for small and medium-sized businesses.
