Kano Court Dismisses Local Government Chairperson, Appoints Successor
The High Court in Kano has dismissed Ghali Basaf from his position as chairperson of Kumbotso Local Government Council, following a ruling that invalidated his Certificate of Return. The ruling stems from a legal challenge initiated by Ali Hardworker, who claimed he was unjustly replaced as the candidate for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
