Thousands March Silently in Copenhagen to Honour Veterans After Trump's Remarks
Approximately 8,000 to 10,000 people participated in a solemn silent march in Copenhagen, organised by the Danish Veterans’ Association. The demonstration was a response to comments made by US President Donald Trump that appeared to diminish the contributions of non-US NATO troops in Afghanistan. The event also served as a tribute to the 44 Danish soldiers who died in the conflict.
