Request from New Defense Attorney Delays Yelwata Massacre Trial
The trial of nine individuals charged in connection with the Yelwata massacre was postponed once more on March 4, 2026, due to a request from a newly appointed defense attorney. This comes after the defendants were arraigned for their roles in a gruesome attack in Benue State in June 2025, resulting in numerous casualties.
