An 11-year-old girl, known as Saamayol Happy Agber, has reportedly been subjected to sexual abuse by her uncle in the Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.

Sources indicate that the girl, a resident of Mbayongo Council Ward in Vandeikya, was placed under the guardianship of her uncle, Mr. Terlumum Agbo, who practices as a local herbalist.

According to a social media post by Hon Praise Atsagye, who shared the troubling story, it was noted that the abuse commenced after Saamayol was moved from the main dwelling.

"Due to her issues with bedwetting, Mr. Agbo instructed her to sleep separately in his treatment hut. During this period, he allegedly subjected her to repeated sexual assaults, falsely claiming that these acts were required 'treatment' to cure her bedwetting problem," the post detailed.

The severity of the situation became apparent when her health visibly deteriorated. On March 14, 2026, she was taken to Makurdi in a frail state, afflicted by unexplained trauma.

Initially, her uncle's wife suspected a common infection, but a thorough medical examination alongside Saamayol’s courageous testimony unveiled the truth behind the assaults.
