A total of 13 journalists from different media organizations in Bauchi were injured on Friday in a severe vehicle accident while documenting the commissioning of projects by the North-East Development Commission (NEDC).

The accident took place along the Yashi-Yelwan Duguri Road within the Alkaleri Local Government Area, when the vehicle transporting the journalists lost control and flipped over multiple times, tossing the occupants out of it.

This unfortunate event occurred shortly after a delegation, headed by the Minister of State for Regional Development, Alhaji Uba Maigari Ahmadu, successfully commissioned and transferred a newly built Government Secondary School (GSS) in Yelwan Duguri.
