A young man, aged 20, has been taken into custody on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting his neighbour's four-year-old daughter in Minna, located in Niger State.
Humanitarian Chiagozie Effe made the news public through a Facebook post on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Effe expressed his outrage, questioning what could possibly drive a 20-year- old to commit such a heinous act against a child. In his post, he remarked, "What in God's name or is it in devil's name is fascinating about this 4-year- old that a 20-year-old man would r@pe?" He further highlighted the availability of adult entertainment venues in the area, saying, "When there are so many brothels scattered all over the place?"
The young victim, identified as Sarah, resides with her family in Minna. Reports state that she was brutally assaulted by the suspect within their residential compound.
The accused has reportedly confessed to the crime and is currently being held at the State Police Command in Minna. Effe vowed to ensure that justice is served for young Sarah.
In closing, Effe urged parents to remain vigilant in guarding their children's safety, warning that not everyone around them, including so-called relatives, may have good intentions.
