The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reiterated its commitment to displace the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State as well as on the national stage in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

During an interaction with the media, Hon. Adamu Maina Waziri, the former Minister of Police Affairs and ADC's leader in Yobe State, made this proclamation after the inauguration of the party’s zonal and local government secretariats in Damaturu, Tarmuwa, and Bursari.

Waziri emphasized that the recent establishment of party secretariats across different local government areas signifies ADC’s intensified efforts to emerge as a viable alternative to the existing APC government in Yobe and nationwide.

He articulated that the party has been diligent in preparations for a successful national convention and primary elections, which he believes will further enhance and consolidate the party’s standing ahead of the 2027 elections.

"Our party, ADC, is resolved to disrupt the current political landscape, and with divine assistance, we are going to accomplish this. We are actively establishing the party's infrastructure," he noted.

Waziri, who previously served as a member of the PDP Board of Trustees, pointed out that ADC intends to persuade both the citizens of Yobe and Nigerians at large, particularly the youth, that the party provides authentic solutions to the pressing issues facing the nation.

He also mentioned that a comprehensive membership registration and validation campaign is scheduled to commence within the next two weeks in preparation for both local government and state congresses, along with the party's non- elective national convention.
